Tottori goods

We have a variety of goods of Tottori Prefecture.

Japan has distinct characters according to each area.

They make lots of products for each area.

They advertise and have differentiated products with goods.

Osaka, Nagoya and Hokkaido is being promoted as a tourist destination with well-know local products.

It is contribute to the economic growth and promotion of each area.

Tottori Prefecture is not a well-known yet.

So I would like to share about foods and products of Tottori with you.

Monster cookie (Manzyu)

Sakai port is the home of Japanese monster animation ’GeGeGe no Kitaro’.

So there are many products related to monster things.

Among them, Monster Manzyu is very popular.

Product is wrapped in ‘Monster paper’ in the picture above.

It can work in two ways that you can buy Manzyu and monster paper also!

Monster Manzyu look three-dimensional.  :)

The expiration date is quite long.

It is good for a souvenir.

20^th century pear

20^th century pear is the principal products of Tottori.

They produce sparkling wine and alcohol made of fresh pear.

The pear alcohol is unusual especially.

Crab foods

Tottori that is bounded by the East Sea is known for crabs.

Tottori crabs are in season from November to March.

But you can taste a lot of crab foods for people who can’t visit Tottori during these season.

Kani Miso-shiru(Crab soup)

This is instant Japanese traditional soup.

It is convenient and delicious!

This food is really good when you are busy in the morning.

It is instant food but not so cheap because it is made of crab.

Put Crab soup in a bowl then stir with hot water!

Kani Zosui(Crab gruel)

Zosui is like gruel that boiled with vegetables and seafood.

Boil the Zosui and rice then put a well-stirred egg lastly.

When it is cold, this food is easy to take and tastes great.

Curry

  Monster Curry

Medama-Oyaji(Eyeball Man) curry!

There are eggs in curry.

This is popular with Japanese tourists.

This is curry of Medama-Oyaji’s son.

It is beef curry.

You can find these foods at the souvenir store, Tottori.

This is Tottori-Ko curry made of pigs that grow up to take acorn.

It has a juicy tender pork.

This is Nashi-Ta curry made of Tottori pear and shiitake (mushroom).

Nashi means pear in Japanese.

This is curry made of quid ink.

You can get quid ink as a souvenir.

It is real ink color!

I heard it is very delicious. I want to try it! :)

A lot of Tottori soft ice cream!

①20^th century pear soft ice cream

②Mt. Daisen farm milk soft ice cream

 This is the most famous ice cream in Tottori.

 You can taste it only in Tottori.

 Enjoy the deep taste of milk ice cream!

 Pear soft ice cream is different depending on ice cream stores.

 I recommend 300yen thing.

 That is deeper than 250yen ice cream.

③Watermelon soft ice cream

 You can taste this ice cream at Michi-no-Ekidaiei(道の駅大栄).

 I hope to taste it next time.

④Quid ink soft ice cream

 I have eaten this ice cream in Uradome coast.

 It has not a fishy smell. Just try it! :)

Funny goods

 Kitaro hair wax

This is just for fun.

Kitaro is a character of ‘Gegege no Kitaro’.

The color is like monster also!

This is really unusual! :)
