KAMIAKARI
The event, Kamiakari, was held in Akagawara, Kurayoshi city.
All of collections are made by Japanese traditional papers(和紙).
The streets are very beautiful with lights by making paper craftworks every autumn.
Let’s enjoy foods and music of autumn in Akagawra!
This is 7Gods of Akagawara.
They greeted us with a kind smile at the entrance of Akagawra.
Enter the street, a lot of lamps were in line.
There were cute lamps! :)
The paper is covered with the tree.
It looks rough but great artwork!
This craftwork had a picture of Utsubuki park, Kurayoshi.
The light features autumn. Great!

There were some abstract and a geometric design.

I had great admiration by large artworks.
These were very elaborate.
The face is like real things and dynamic.
These are larger than people.
It was notable and lots of people took a picture with it.
There were performances of a cappella.
Isn’t it romantic that listen to songs with beautiful lamps at night?
Many people gathered to collect enjoy the performance.
This tunnel is made by paper even!

There were craftworks of amateur.
Creative works had attention.

Round one in the artwork is in the light breeze.
There was an artwork with another picture as the theme, not 7Gods.
The street was lined with snack stalls.
I ate adzuki-bean gruel.
It’s 350yen.
It was delicious but too much sweet!!
You can eat grilled squid and shell.
Japanese like sea foods!
You have to grill sea foods over charcoal to get the real flavor!
Kamiakari event is held every year.
If you visit Kurayoshi in October, try it!
